Job Description

Hands-on experience on supporting SQL Server from version 2008 onwards to latest SQL version.

Strong knowledge of SQL Server database tuning

knowledge of SQL Server database backup and recovery strategies.

Experience with SQL Server database encryption

Experience in SSRS, SSIS and SSAS installation and support

Need to have hands-on experience supporting all the SQL Server HADR like Mirroring, replication, logshipping, alwayson, clustering.

Create logins and assign permissions based on the level of database access the user required

Design database Backup and Restoration Strategy

Setup High-Availability as part Disaster Recovery Strategy for the Databases

Monitoring and Performance Tuning; Physical Server Level, Database level (Database settings and options)

Work with Infrastructure, Architecture and Application teams to devise highly available, performance, secure and scalable database solutions.

Work directly with various stakeholders to ensure high-quality, consistent, and on-time delivery of projects

Perform comprehensive database performance reviews and tuning

Own, track, manage, prioritize and resolve database related incidents and requests, fulfilling requests and resolving incidents within SLAs.

Maintain data standards, database security and ensure full compliance with policies and procedures, including adherence to data protection and PCI.

Documenting major changes to the SQL Servers.

Should have experience on SQL upgrades and migrations

Should be able to provide plans for database level to perform the Datacenter migration

Experience in handling the Major incident and war room

Need to know on how to create Incidents, change request, Service request and perform the RCA for problem ticket.

Should have worked on SQL server patching for standalone and HADR severs.

Experience with SQL Server CDC and change tracking.

Flexible to work on shift 24 7 and support on-call on weekend
