Technical / professional qualifications:

• Evaluate the Database Server Hardware/Software.
• Define/Recommend/Maintain database Standards and Architecture.
• Future Release management for database/instance and Impact Analysis.
• Research/Recommend Migration/Upgradation
• Installation & Configuration of MS SQL Server 2008R2/2012/2014/2016/2019/2022.
• Configuration knowledge in Advanced features of SQL Server 2012/2014/2016/2019/2022.
• Experience in Database Administration and Production Support SQL DBA with proficiency in SQL Server 2008 R2/2012. 2014, 2016, 2019 and 2022.
• Installation, configuration and maintenance of MS SQL Services both Standalone and Cluster Environment.
• Experience on managing cluster services, perform load balancing, knowledge on create and add new mount points to cluster application and services/roles.
• Managing Security (Creating users, logins and roles, granting permissions).
• Perform DB Refreshes from Prod to Non-Prod Environment for both RDBMS and SSAS databases on user's requirement.
• Experience in SQL Server tools, including Enterprise manager (SQL server 2000), Management Studio, SQL Profiler, SQL Server Agent, database tuning adviser, EMC Legato Networker for SQL Server, Activity Monitor, Task Manager with Resource Monitor, etc
• Develop, implement, administer and maintain security and integrity of the Application databases.
• Scheduling jobs in SQL Server Supporting huge production databases, troubleshooting the problems.
• Experience in implementing and managing backup strategies, disaster recovery solution on Log Shipping, Database Mirroring and Replication for database high availability.
• Perform SSAS database backups and restore on user's requests, Managing Security of the SSAS cube databases, created logins and providing permissions.
• Full Processing SSAS database, cubes and dimensions, perform process modes on user's requests. Experience on Database synchronization by using Synchronize Database Wizard for Analysis databases.
• Working on SSAS deployments, import and export packages, deploy SSIS packages, ispac deployments based on the user requirement.
• Experience on creating database maintenance plans like database backups, Reorganize and Rebuild the indexes.
• Create linked servers, working with application teams to installing Teradata drivers and configuring system data sources (system DSN) based on the user's requirement.
• Knowledge of SQL Server Failover Cluster
• Understanding of Always On
• Knowledge or understanding of AWS/GCP cloud infrastructure
• Advance Database Performance Tuning - Instance, Database, OS Parameters
• Should be able to perform database reorganization
• Recommend and Review Backup and Recovery Strategies
• Good Working experience of Installation, configuration, administration and troubleshooting of Failover Clustering, Always on Availability, Mirroring, Log shipping,
• Having experience of DR setup through various synch methods.
• Designing strategy towards Capacity Management(Growth) for DB tracks.
• Recommending Database Security Policy, Auditing
• Awareness of latest database trends and Technologies
• Configuration experience in SQL Server Analysis Services
• Configuration experience in SQL Server Integration Services
• Configuration experience in SQL Server Reporting Services
• Knowledge in Cloud Integration

Key deliverables -:

• Provide technology consulting to Platform or Internal project teams on the respective product as per the technologies specified standards
• Maintain knowledge of leading edge technologies and industry/market domain knowledge.
• Apply advance subject matter knowledge and build technical directions for proper design and implementations.
• Work with 3rd Party suppliers to implement best practices.
• Understand business requirement, providing technical support / leadership in the creation and delivery of technology solutions to meet business needs
• Evaluate and embed new capability/technology with Capability Requirement from Capability team by capturing use cases and requirements
• Perform POC Evaluation and implementation as part of Capability Embedding for the requests from GeoIT/ Business.
• Identify Technical Risks across infra estate, develop plans for Risk mitigations, work with BAU and Change teams to implement the mitigation
• Prepare forward schedule annual plan for implementing Baseline Management, Minor and Major upgrades by aligning with the forward scheduled planned activities.
• Participate and provide Inputs for Enterprise IT Transformation projects.
• Implement Infosec security compliance as per the guidelines by working with BAU and Change teams.
• Provide Break glass support for Operations team on escalated 4th level support for issues/incidents.
• Proof of Concept report for new technologies aligning with IT roadmap
• Report showing firmware currency levels supported by respective tools (Native / OEM)
• Lifecyle management of software and hardware as per the defined SBB
• Automation report initiatives and implementation
• Capacity reports for Environment optimization and recommendations
• Regular review and updates/report of Build Guides, Runbooks, SOPs and Vendor advisories
• Risk Management Mitigations and implementation proposal plans.
