Senior Technical Consultant - Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced

Senior Technical Consultant

with deep expertise in

X++ development

for

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management (D365 F&O)

. The ideal candidate will possess

10-15 years of progressive experience

in implementing, customizing, and architecting enterprise-level D365 solutions.

Exposure to Power Platform and Azure

integration is highly preferred. This role requires a blend of technical excellence, strategic thinking, and strong leadership capabilities to drive successful implementation and optimization of complex D365 F&O solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Architecture

Lead the technical design, architecture, and implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management solutions across multiple modules Develop comprehensive technical design documents (TDD), solution architecture blueprints, and system integration specifications Perform code reviews and establish development best practices, ensuring adherence to Microsoft standards and organizational coding guidelines Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and technical consultants, fostering team growth and capability enhancement? Collaborate with Solution Architects to ensure technical integrity and alignment with enterprise architecture standards

X++ Development & Customization

Design, develop, test, and deploy complex customizations and extensions using

X++ programming language

within D365 F&O environments Develop and maintain SSRS reports, forms, workflows, classes, tables, and data entities using X++ Implement extension-based customizations following Microsoft best practices to ensure system upgradability and maintainability Customize finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and operations modules based on business requirements Develop business events and custom workflows in D365 F&O

Power Platform Integration

Deliver solution components on Power Platform/Dataverse platform, including Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), Power Automate, and Power BI integrations Design and implement automated workflows using Power Automate for business process optimization Leverage Power BI for advanced reporting, analytics, and business intelligence dashboards?

Azure Cloud & DevOps

Implement and manage Azure-based integrations using

Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Service Bus, API Management,

and

Azure Data Factory

? Utilize

Azure DevOps

for source control management (Git), CI/CD pipeline implementation, automated builds, and release management? Configure and manage Azure environments, ensuring optimal security, performance, and scalability Implement Azure Key Vault for secure credential and secret management Design event-driven serverless solutions using Azure Functions

System Integration & Data Management

Design and implement complex integrations between D365 F&O and external systems using

OData, custom services, DMF (Data Management Framework), REST/SOAP APIs,

and middleware platforms Develop data migration strategies, including data mapping, transformation, scripting, and validation Implement batch jobs and scheduled processes for data synchronization and system automation Ensure seamless data flow across enterprise ecosystem using integration best practices

Lifecycle Services & Environment Management

Utilize

Dynamics Lifecycle Services (LCS)

for environment provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting Manage code deployments across Non-Production and Production environments Implement hotfixes, updates, and service packs following change management protocols

Project Delivery & Stakeholder Management

Collaborate with functional consultants, business analysts, project managers, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions Participate in full life-cycle implementations from requirement gathering through deployment and post-go-live support? Conduct technical workshops, design sessions, and proof-of-concept (PoC) demonstration? Provide accurate effort estimates for technical tasks in Statements of Work and Change Requests? Manage product backlog and prioritize development activities in Agile/Scrum environments?

Performance Optimization & Support

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions Optimize application performance through code refactoring, query optimization, and database tuning Provide production support including debugging, bug fixes, and system enhancements Implement security role-based access

Required Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field Master's degree preferred?

Experience

10-15 years of total experience

in Information Technology with at least

6-8 years of hands-on experience

in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O) or Dynamics AX development Minimum

3-4 end-to-end full life-cycle implementations

of D365 F&O/AX as a Technical Consultant, including implementation, upgrade, migration, and support projects Proven experience in both Dynamics AX 2012 and D365 F&O cloud implementations? Strong experience working in Onshore/Offshore and distributed team models?

Technical Skills - Core

Expert-level proficiency in X++ programming language

Deep expertise in D365 F&O architecture, frameworks, and extensibility models Knowledge of

C#, .NET Framework,

and

SQL Server

Hands-on experience with

Visual Studio

for D365 development? Proficiency in
