Job Summary:

The MRD Technician is responsible for maintaining, organizing, storing, and retrieving patient medical records in both physical and electronic formats. The role ensures accuracy, confidentiality, and timely availability of medical records in compliance with hospital policies and legal requirements.

Qualification:

Diploma or Degree in Medical Records Technology

Medical Coder

- Certification in Medical Coding (ICD-10, CPT, etc).

Experience:

2+Years in hospital MRD

Key Responsibilities:

Collect, compile, and assemble inpatient and outpatient medical records. Check medical records for completeness, accuracy, and proper authentication by doctors. Index, code, and file patient records systematically. Maintain confidentiality of patient information as per hospitals policies. Assist in coding diagnoses and procedures (ICD-10/ ICD-11, if applicable). Enter and update patient data in the hospital information system (HIS). Track movement of files and ensure timely return to MRD. Prepare statistical data and reports as required by management ensure proper storage, retention, and destruction of records according to policy.
