Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day MRD operations, including medical record management, coding, filing, and retrieval.
Ensure confidentiality, security, and proper storage of medical records as per hospital policies and legal standards.
Maintain accurate indexing and documentation of inpatient and outpatient records.
Coordinate with medical, nursing, and administrative teams for timely record updates and information sharing.
Supervise scanning, digitization, and electronic health record (EHR) updates.
Monitor record retention schedules and ensure compliance with statutory and accreditation requirements.
Support audits, quality initiatives, and provide necessary data for hospital reporting.
Train and guide MRD staff to ensure smooth workflow.
Qualifications & Skills:
Graduate in
Medical Records Technology
/ Health Information Management or equivalent.
Minimum 4+ years of experience
in MRD in a reputed hospital.
Knowledge of
ICD coding
and hospital information systems (HIS).
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
