Job Description

- Medical Record Department (MRD)



Objective:



Enable physicians to provide quality healthcare through accurate medical records. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and audit requirements. Manage transition from paper to electronic records and ensure secure storage. Facilitate retention, access, and transfer of records for authorized parties (Insurance, TPA, Consultants). Support quality assessments through well-maintained medical records.

Key Responsibilities:



Maintain accurate, complete, adequate, and comprehensive patient records. Ensure proper filing, indexing, coding, and storage of records as per hospital standards. Manage indoor case papers, pending list, MIS, notifiable reporting (NMMC), MLC & death cases. Issue certificates (Medical, Birth, Death, AFP, Tuberculosis, PNDT, etc.). Ensure timely retrieval and updating of records with scientific methods for efficiency. Safeguard confidentiality and security of patient records.

Qualifications & Requirements:



Graduate (any discipline). Minimum 2 years of experience in MRD (hospital setting preferred). Strong knowledge of medical record management systems. Good organizational and communication skills.
