To manage, monitor, and control all container maintenance and repair activities, ensuring cost efficiency, timely updates, vendor coordination, and accurate reporting in the system.
Key Responsibilities
1. Container Maintenance & Repair Coordination
Verify and approve repair estimates from depots/vendors.
Ensure repair costs are within company guidelines and budget.
Coordinate first-level and second-level repair approvals with internal teams.
Monitor repair progress and ensure timely completion by depots.
2. System Updates & Data Management
Update repair status, approvals, and completion details in the system (SAILOG / internal tools).
Ensure container status reflects correctly (e.g., In-Repair, Completed, On-Hire, Off-Hire).
Maintain accurate history for each container including damage, repair cycles, and cost.
3. Vendor & Depot Coordination
Follow up with depots for pending estimates, ongoing repairs, and overdue tasks.
Communicate instructions to repair vendors based on approval levels.
Resolve mismatches in estimates, incorrect updates, or system issues with depots.
4. Monitoring & Reporting
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly M&R reports:
Repair history
Cost summary
Repair cycle time
Pending approvals
Highlight abnormal or high-cost repairs to management.
Track units repaired twice or repaired across different months and report reason.
5. Cost & Quality Control
Review repair charges to avoid unnecessary cost or overbilling.
Ensure all repairs follow company quality standards.
Flag unusual damages or repeated repair issues for investigation.
6. Communication & Escalation
Follow up with agents/vendors who do not respond to emails.
Escalate long-pending cases or system issues to seniors.
Coordinate with operations, finance, and inventory teams for any discrepancies.
Skills & Competencies
Knowledge of container maintenance and repair processes.
Understanding of repair estimates, EOR, and billing.
Strong follow-up and communication skills (email + phone).
Ability to analyze repair cost data and prepare reports.
Familiarity with container management systems (e.g., SAILOG, NAVIS).
Attention to detail and ability to work under timelines.

Qualifications
Graduate in any discipline.
6 month to 1 years of experience in container M&R or depot coordination.
Good computer skills (Excel, MS Office, system updates).
