The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex MPLS-based networks, including MPLS VPNs, BGP/MP-BGP, OSPF, ISIS, and IPv6 integration. You will play a pivotal role in network provisioning, troubleshooting, and optimization, working closely with cross-functional teams to support business continuity and digital transformation initiatives. Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and secure MPLS-based network architectures across enterprise and service provider environments.

• Implement and manage MPLS VPNs using MP-BGP for multi-tenant and service-specific routing, ensuring isolation and performance.

• Configure and troubleshoot advanced routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, MP-BGP, and ISIS on Cisco ASR platforms.

• Administer and optimize firewall policies and access controls to enforce network segmentation and enhance security posture.

• Perform end-to-end network provisioning, including service activation, configuration management, and change control processes.

• Lead troubleshooting of complex network issues involving latency, packet loss, routing loops, and protocol convergence.

• Ensure seamless integration of IPv6 into existing MPLS and core network infrastructures.

• Collaborate with cloud, security, and infrastructure teams to support hybrid network deployments and SD-WAN integrations.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including topology maps, configuration standards, and runbooks.

• Participate in capacity planning, performance monitoring, and proactive network optimization initiatives.

Requirements
Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; CCIE or equivalent certification preferred.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise or service provider network engineering with a focus on MPLS and core routing.

• Expertise in routing protocols: OSPF, BGP, MP-BGP, and ISIS with deep understanding of path selection, route filtering, and convergence.

• Proven experience in MPLS networking, including MPLS L3VPN, VRF, and label distribution mechanisms.

• In-depth knowledge of network segmentation strategies and firewall administration (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Juniper).

• Extensive experience with Cisco ASR series routers (ASR 9000, ASR 1000) including CLI and automation scripting.

• Strong understanding of IPv6 deployment models and transition mechanisms in MPLS environments.

• Experience in network provisioning workflows, change management, and incident resolution in high-availability environments.

• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios) and automation frameworks (e.g., Python, Ansible).

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work independently and in team settings.

• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and deliver solutions within tight deadlines.
