Job Description

An MPharm faculty job involves teaching pharmacy subjects, developing curriculum, conducting research especially in areas like Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, etc. , supervising student projects, publishing papers, mentoring students, and contributing to academic quality, balancing classroom instruction with scholarly activities and student guidance.

Responsibilities

Teaching & Instruction:

Deliver lectures, conduct practical lab sessions, and create learning materials for undergraduate/postgraduate students in various pharmacy specializations (e.g., Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry).

Research & Publication:

Design and execute research, publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, present at conferences, and secure research funding.

Student Mentorship:

Guide students on research projects, theses, dissertations, and overall academic/ethical development.

Curriculum & Development:

Contribute to designing and updating course content to meet regulatory standards.

Academic Duties:

Participate in departmental meetings, co-curricular activities, student counseling, and university examinations.
Key Skills & Qualifications

Education:

An MPharm degree is often the minimum, with a PhD often desirable for senior roles or better career progression.

Experience:

Relevant teaching or industry/research experience (often 2+ years) is usually required.

Skills:

Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; ability to stay updated with new knowledge; commitment to ethical research.
