Our editorial team is looking for an experienced editor to oversee Movie and TV Features content under the leadership of the Core Features Lead Editor The selected candidate will have tremendous career growth opportunities within the organization Note that this role does not involve video production, video editing, screenwriting, or writing reviews Responsibilities: Edit and publish a minimum of 10 Movie/TV posts daily on the Features/Lists team. Or write an equivalent number of articles Participate in writer development and general writer management Oversee and facilitate writer communication in Discord/Asana Send feedback to writers according to Screen Rants standards (as per our writing guides) Work with new writers to develop their skills and help them adapt to Screen Rants standards Work with existing writers to develop those suitable for internal development (staff writing, self-publishing, editing) Idea generation Generate 10 or more ideas daily Develop content plans Reply to writer pitches Meetings Come prepared with notes and analyses in team meetings Additional tasks Identify evergreen articles to update (occasionally updating articles as well) Other administrative tasks where required by leads Requirements: Relevant experience in senior writing and editing roles (digital publications, entertainment content) Broad working knowledge of Movies/TV in general, especially major franchises and popular streaming content Ability to cover new releases in theaters and on TV and streaming platforms. Quick learner with a strong sense of urgency Excellent command of the English language.
