Job Summary:

The Moulder (ARPA Machine Operator) is responsible for operating and maintaining ARPA molding machines used in the foundry for producing sand molds. The role ensures quality mold preparation, adherence to production targets, and safe operation of molding equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate ARPA automatic molding machine for sand mold production. Set up, adjust, and monitor machine parameters for optimal performance. Prepare molding sand mixture according to required specifications. Ensure correct pattern placement, alignment, and mold quality. Inspect molds for defects, surface finish, and dimensional accuracy. Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and lubrication of the machine. Coordinate with the melting and core-making departments for smooth production flow. Maintain daily production reports and log sheets. Follow safety procedures and wear proper protective equipment during operation. Report any machine malfunction or quality issue to the supervisor immediately.

Qualifications & Skills:

ITI / Diploma in Foundry Technology, Mechanical, or relevant field. Minimum 2-4 years of experience in operating ARPA molding machines (ARPA 300/450/900 etc.). Knowledge of green sand molding process and foundry operations. Ability to identify defects such as mismatch, blowholes, and improper compaction. Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills. Teamwork, punctuality, and adherence to safety protocols.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work in hot and dusty foundry environments. Manual handling of patterns, cores, and molds when required.
