Job Description

Job Summary:

The Motor Winder is responsible for repairing, rewinding, and assembling electric motors, generators, transformers, and related equipment. The role involves inspecting, dismantling, rewinding coils, reassembling, and testing to ensure proper functioning according to standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect electric motors and identify faults such as winding short, open circuit, or insulation failure. Dismantle electric motors and remove defective coils/windings. Clean motor parts (stator, rotor, armature, etc.) before rewinding. Rewind coils using appropriate wire gauge and winding techniques. Replace or repair insulation materials and varnish windings. Assemble and test the motor to ensure performance meets specifications. Operate test equipment such as megger, multimeter, and growler for continuity and insulation tests. Maintain records of work done, materials used, and testing results. Follow all

Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE)

standards during repair work. Ensure housekeeping and 5S compliance in the work area.
