CTG is seeking to fill a Mortgage Processor II opening for our client in a remote role.
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 months
Overview:
The Mortgage Processor II is responsible for processing conventional and government loan requests in accordance with product, underwriting, state-specific, and investor guidelines. This role ensures that all loans are accurately and efficiently processed from application through closing while maintaining exceptional communication with all parties involved.
Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain effective communication with all parties involved in a loan application, including customers, brokers, correspondents, loan officers, and co-workers to ensure a seamless and positive experience.
Coordinate with internal departments and external organizations to obtain necessary documentation, such as Verification of Employment, IRS transcripts, title searches, appraisals, and bank statements.
Immediately notify relevant parties of any irregularities relative to standard mortgage guidelines.
Monitor and update credit reports, appraisals, income documentation, and all verifications to ensure underwriting conditions are met; work closely with underwriters to quickly resolve issues.
Perform administrative duties supporting the origination department, including preparing and mailing commitment letters, reviewing title and homeowners insurance, mailing loan suspend notices, updating loan conditions, and providing documentation to closing attorneys.
Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and guidelines.
Evaluate changes required to regulatory documents and maintain strong analytical oversight.
Identify and escalate risk-related issues in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite.
Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the company brand.
Maintain internal control standards, including timely implementation of audit points and regulatory findings.
Complete other related duties as assigned.

Collaborate with internal and external customers, including co-workers, borrowers, and loan officers.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:
None. This role does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.
Education and Experience Required:
Mortgage processing experience
Customer service experience
Borrower contact experience
Associate's degree with a minimum of one year mortgage industry experience or two years equivalent work experience, OR in lieu of a degree, three years equivalent work experience including at least one year mortgage industry experience
OR six months of M&T Bank-specific mortgage processing experience plus 6-12 months experience in customer service, operations, or financial services
Proficiency with PC applications, including spreadsheets, word processing, email, and PDF software
Education and Experience Preferred:
Ability to make sound decisions based on provided information
Knowledge of product, investor, and compliance requirements
Flexibility in a fast-paced mortgage environment
Adaptability to new policies and procedures to improve workflow
Ability to function independently under time constraints
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly organized with strong multitasking abilities
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Strong work ethic, reliability, and dependability

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $18.00 to $28.11/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
