We are seeking an experienced Moodle (Learning Management System) Specialist to support the management, configuration, customization, and ongoing improvement of our college's learning portal. The role will work closely with our Learning Services Manager to ensure a smooth and efficient online learning experience for students and faculty.
Key Responsibilities
Manage, configure, and maintain the Moodle LMS platform.
Create, upload, organize, and update online courses and learning materials.
Customize Moodle themes, layouts, and plugins as required.
Troubleshoot system issues and perform routine platform maintenance.
Integrate LMS with other internal systems (e.g., SIS, HR, authentication).
Ensure user roles, permissions, and access levels are properly configured.
Provide technical support to faculty, students, and internal stakeholders.
Generate usage reports, dashboards, and analytics for performance monitoring.
Ensure the platform adheres to data security, privacy, and compliance standards.
Suggest improvements to enhance user experience and platform performance.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Proven experience working with Moodle LMS (minimum 2-4 years).
Strong understanding of LMS architecture, plugins, and configuration.
Experience in course creation, SCORM packages, and multimedia integration.
Good knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML/CSS (for customization and debugging).
Ability to troubleshoot server or application-level issues.
Familiarity with hosting environments (Linux/Apache) is a plus.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and coordinate with remote teams.
Preferred
Experience in educational institutions or training organizations.
Knowledge of instructional design principles or e-learning content standards.
Experience integrating Moodle with Microsoft/Google learning ecosystems.
