The Montessori Teacher is responsible for guiding young children in a CBSE-affiliated school using the Montessori method. This approach encourages independent learning, hands-on activities, and holistic development. The teacher creates a nurturing, prepared environment that supports the cognitive, emotional, social, and physical growth of children, usually in pre-primary or early primary classes.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver Montessori-based lessons aligned with CBSE guidelines and curriculum goals.
Prepare and maintain a Montessori classroom environment with appropriate learning materials and resources.
Observe and assess children's developmental progress and tailor instruction to meet individual needs.
Foster independence, creativity, and critical thinking through Montessori activities and play.
Encourage social skills, cooperation, and respect among students.
Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and development.
Collaborate with school leadership and other teachers to ensure smooth integration of Montessori principles with CBSE academic standards.
Attend professional development workshops to stay current on Montessori pedagogy and CBSE policies.
Qualifications:
Diploma or certification in Montessori education from a recognized institute.
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (preferred).
Experience teaching Montessori in early childhood settings, ideally within CBSE schools.
Knowledge of CBSE curriculum framework and standards.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, creativity, and a passion for early childhood education.
