We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and certified Montessori Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a Montessori setting and a deep understanding of Montessori philosophy, child development, and classroom management. This role involves guiding children aged [2.5-6 years or other age group] through hands-on, self-directed learning while creating a nurturing, respectful, and stimulating classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Implementation:
Deliver Montessori curriculum in accordance with AMI/AMS/IMC standards and the developmental needs of the children.
Prepared Environment:
Maintain an orderly, clean, and inviting Montessori classroom with age-appropriate materials that foster independence and learning.
Child Observation & Assessment:
Observe and assess children's development, recording progress and identifying individual learning needs.
Lesson Planning:
Prepare individual and group lesson plans that align with Montessori pedagogy and support the holistic development of each child.
Classroom Management:
Foster a peaceful, respectful, and collaborative classroom culture that supports independence and concentration.
Parent Communication:
Maintain regular communication with parents through meetings, progress reports, and conferences.
Professional Development:
Stay current with educational best practices and attend relevant workshops and trainings as required.
Collaboration:
Work cooperatively with assistant teachers, support staff, and school leadership to ensure a consistent and high-quality learning experience.
Qualifications & Experience:
Montessori Certification from a recognized institution (AMI, AMS, or equivalent)
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (preferred)
Minimum
3 years of experience
as a Montessori teacher in a formal Montessori environment
Strong understanding of Montessori philosophy and early childhood development
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, creativity, and a passion for child-centered education
Preferred Attributes:
Ability to adapt to diverse learning needs and backgrounds
Experience using observation and documentation tools
Familiarity with parent engagement tools and platforms
