The Montessori Teacher is responsible for nurturing and guiding young children in their foundational years through the Montessori philosophy. The role focuses on creating a prepared learning environment that supports independent learning, holistic development, and age-appropriate skill building. The teacher ensures emotional well-being, safety, and individualized attention while fostering curiosity, discipline, social skills, and a love for learning in alignment with school values and early childhood education standards.

Tasks & Activities:
Plan and implement Montessori-based lesson plans and activities suitable for pre-school children.
Create and maintain a prepared Montessori environment with appropriate learning materials and classroom organization.
Guide children in self-directed learning, practical life skills, sensorial activities, language, numeracy, and cultural concepts.
Observe, assess, and document each child's developmental progress and learning milestones.
Provide individualized attention to support different learning paces, abilities, and needs.
Ensure children's physical, emotional, and social well-being at all times.
Foster positive behavior, independence, discipline, and respect through Montessori principles.
Conduct circle time, storytelling, rhymes, music, movement, and creative activities.
Maintain classroom safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in accordance with school policies.
Communicate regularly with parents regarding child progress, behavior, and development.
Participate in parent-teacher meetings, orientation programs, and school events.
Collaborate with fellow teachers, coordinators, and support staff to ensure consistency in teaching practices.
Prepare teaching aids, learning materials, and age-appropriate assessments.
Support children in developing fine motor skills, gross motor skills, language, and social interaction.
Identify learning or behavioral concerns early and coordinate with counsellors or coordinators when required.
Maintain accurate records such as attendance, progress reports, observation notes, and portfolios.
Participate in Montessori training programs, workshops, and professional development activities.
Assist in school activities, celebrations, theme days, and annual functions.
Uphold the school's values, discipline standards, and child-friendly learning culture.
