In India, Jhpiego works across various states in close collaboration with national and state governments,

providing technical assistance in the areas of family planning, maternal and child health, strengthening humanresources for health, and non-communicable diseases. These programs are funded by USAID, Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited, UNICEF, World Health Organization, University of Manitoba, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Children\xe2\x80\x99s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), MSD for Mothers and others.

Jhpiego is hiring M&E officer based at New Delhi for its CIFF Nutrition project.The MEL Officer provides support for the successful monitoring and evaluation of the program and will be performing a variety of monitoring and evaluation services as per the project monitoring framework, as well as for generating and translating evidence to inform programmatic adaptation.

Responsibilities

  • The Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Officer will lead the development and implementation of the MEL framework of the projects and support strategic initiatives.
  • Support the development of MEL systems for collecting, tracking, analyzing, and reporting the progress of the project activities/targets.
  • Lead & ensure quality data collection from the field and stakeholders, storage, analysis, reporting, and building data visualization tools.
  • Building factsheets, report cards and performance measurement index,
  • Prepare monthly program progress reports/slide decks to share with various stakeholders, and support in the program review process.
  • Support the data & drafting of deliverables to donors on time.
  • Contribute to building quality of MERL system, internal program reporting, knowledge management and information sharing.
  • Coordinate with the field team to gather learning from the field including human interest stories, success stories, documentation and dissemination
  • Supporting in planning stakeholder meetings, record meeting minutes and follow-up on actionable
  • Support senior team members in developing strategic documents and tools based on field experience and program requirements
  • Support in designing & developing research protocols and implementation of the studies like rapid assessments for nutrition programmes, etc.
  • Support in the development of manuscripts development/ publications in the assigned field.
  • Undertake other assignments, which may be assigned from time to time by the Reporting Authority
Required Qualifications

Abilities/Skills:
  • Programmatic & MEL experience in family planning and immunization programmes is highly desirable.
  • Sound understanding and application & adaptation of analytics, mathematical and statistical methods are necessary.
  • Experience in working on factsheets, report cards, and interactive dashboards is highly desirable.
  • Computer skills demonstrating competency in MS Office Suite including advanced Excel (macros, VB programming, dashboards), and at least one statistical package such as SPSS or STATA.
  • Proficiency in usage analytical packages such as R / Python /SQL/ Atlast-ti will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in the management of large data sets, including big data software/database, and advanced analysis using AI/ML techniques will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in the adoption of digital platforms for Monitoring, Evaluation and Research including mobile data collection systems like ODK Collect would be an added advantage.
  • Ability to produce documents and reports of professional quality and coordinate activities
independently.
  • Ability to develop productive working relationships with multicultural team members, agencies, stakeholders and other organizations.
  • Ability to handle a variety of assignments under pressure of deadlines.
  • A high degree of professionalism and ability to deal sensitively with confidential material;
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and Hindi is required.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 30% of his/her time.
Qualifications:
  • Masters in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Informatics/Population Studies, MA in Economics with public health experience, Health Management or Public Health with 3 years of experience.
  • Experience working for Universal Immunization Programme at the national and/or state level.
  • Understanding of Global Health and development approach with a willingness to learn the technical side of program implementation.
