Roles and Responsibilities Qualification & Experience :
Masters in statistics Preferably with added specialization in development economics, public health population studies or any other relevant field with strong background in research methods. PhD in any of above/relevant fields will be preferred. Minimum of five years of relevant professional work experience, showing at least 2 years involvement with health/social data and working on large datasets Knowledge of scientific approach and methodologies.principles, concepts, methods, and standards of statistical research. Ability to apply a range of advanced statistical techniques in support of scientific research studies and/or experiments. Ability to consult with scientific investigators, interpret research requirements, and determine statistical analysis strategies. Ability to plan, create, program and manage complex statistical computer databases. Ability to analyze, interpret, and draw conclusions from complex statistical information. Knowledge of current and emerging trends in advanced statistical analysis for scientific application. Knowledge of writing quality research papers , concept notes, terms of reference protocols, inception and final reports. Proficient computer literacy, specifically advanced Excel and Word and Statistical Softwares (SPSS /STATA/R ).

"Designs, analyze, implement, and report findings on targeted statistical research studie; Provide consultation to investigators and researchers on experimental design and statistical research approaches, requirements, and scientific standards to advance medical knowledge and improve research in public health. Works with investigators to formalize analysis plans and reporting specifications; advises as to choice of statistical analysis strategies, reliability of measurements and identifiability of models, and interpretation and presentation of statistical results.. Contribute to producing high quality and varied research outputs for a range of audiences including analysis, report and presentations Promote culture of quality research at NHA Support and assist in any other activities work assigned by the leadership.
