Key Responsibilities:
Maintain, configure, and optimize MongoDB instances across all environments.
Perform regular Database Health Checks to identify performance degradation or anomalies.
Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of database architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
Develop and maintain backup plans, restore processes, and disaster recovery procedures.
Design and implement indexing strategies to maximize database efficiency.
Configure, monitor, and deploy replica sets and sharded clusters, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime.
Monitor and troubleshoot replication lags and node synchronization issues.
Upgrade databases using patches and version upgrades as required.
Create and manage database users, roles, and permission structures.
Ensure databases achieve maximum performance, scalability, and availability.
Write and maintain stored procedures and scripts to support operational tasks.
Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams for database performance tuning.
Good to have: Basic working knowledge of Cosmos DB.
Required Skills:
In-depth knowledge of MongoDB administration, configuration, and security.
Experience with replica sets, clustering, sharding, and performance tuning.
Strong understanding of indexing, query optimization, and storage engines.
Knowledge of scripting for automation.
Experience with backup tools, monitoring solutions, and incident resolution.
