Molecular Biologist / Microbiologist - Genomic Marker Validation & Research

Role Overview:

We seek a Molecular Biologist / Microbiologist to lead the scientific validation of genetic and microbiome markers in our diagnostic and trait-reporting pipelines. This role involves validating, grading evidence for existing and new markers, and designing an internal validation framework.

Key Responsibilities:

1.

Marker Validation & Evidence Grading:

Validate markers for trait relevance based on predefined scientific criteria. Classify markers into Internal, Relaxed, and Open categories.
2.

Evidence Weightage Framework:

Assign weightage to each marker based on confidence levels. Ensure weightage logic is consistent, defensible, and scalable.
3.

Literature Research & Review:

Conduct deep literature reviews using resources like PubMed and Google Scholar. Document findings in a structured format.
4.

New Marker Evaluation:

Evaluate new markers for new traits, recommending inclusion or exclusion based on evidence.
5.

Cross-Marker Consistency:

Validate scoring logic across markers to prevent over-representation.
6.

Case Study Design:

Support the design of internal validation studies and collaborate with advisors and external researchers.

Who Should Apply:

Educational Background:

PhD/Master's with JRF preferred in Molecular Biology, Genomics, Microbiology, or related fields.

Required Skills:

Extensive experience in reading scientific papers and assessing marker-trait validity. Strong understanding of study design and population genetics. High attention to detail and scientific rigor.

Good to Have:

Experience in designing validation studies and genomic trait interpretation.
