Job Summary:



We are seeking a skilled and motivated

Molecular Biologist

to join our R&D team in the manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will apply their expertise in molecular biology techniques to support product development, quality control, and process optimization. This role involves working in a dynamic environment where research intersects with the manufacturing of biotechnology or related products. The Molecular Biologist will help ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:



Molecular Analysis & Testing:

Perform a variety of molecular biology techniques, including PCR, qPCR, gel electrophoresis, DNA/RNA extraction, sequencing, and cloning, to support product development and testing. Design and execute experiments to optimize production processes and validate raw materials and finished products.

Research & Development:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to research and develop new products, enhance existing ones, and optimize production workflows. Evaluate the genetic properties and molecular behaviors of materials used in manufacturing.

Quality Control & Assurance:

Conduct molecular diagnostic testing to ensure product quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance. Troubleshoot issues related to product defects or failures using molecular biology methods.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain accurate and thorough laboratory records, including experiment logs, methodologies, and results. Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

Collaboration & Innovation:

Work with manufacturing teams to scale up laboratory-based findings to full-scale production. Stay updated on the latest developments in molecular biology techniques and their application to manufacturing.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure all experiments and processes follow established regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, GMP, ISO) for safety and quality. Assist in the preparation of regulatory submissions and inspections.

Required Qualifications:



Education:

A Ph.D. or Master's degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of [X] years of experience in a molecular biology or biotechnology role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial setting. Familiarity with laboratory equipment and instruments used in molecular biology.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in molecular biology techniques such as PCR, qPCR, DNA/RNA sequencing, cloning, and genetic analysis. Strong understanding of bioinformatics tools and software for sequence analysis.

Knowledge:

In-depth knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO) related to biotechnology or pharmaceutical manufacturing. Ability to work with cross-disciplinary teams in an industrial environment.

Preferred Qualifications:



Experience in an industrial or GMP environment is highly preferred. Familiarity with bioprocessing and scale-up methods. Experience with data analysis software (e.g., GraphPad, GenBank, BLAST). Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Personal Attributes:



Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to research. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) to interact with internal teams and external stakeholders. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. High level of curiosity and a passion for innovation in molecular biology.

Working Conditions:



This role may require working with hazardous materials, so adherence to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. Occasional travel may be required for on-site visits, conferences, or meetings.
