The Molecular Biologist will help ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Molecular Analysis & Testing:
Perform a variety of molecular biology techniques, including PCR, qPCR, gel electrophoresis, DNA/RNA extraction, sequencing, and cloning, to support product development and testing.
Design and execute experiments to optimize production processes and validate raw materials and finished products.
Research & Development:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to research and develop new products, enhance existing ones, and optimize production workflows.
Evaluate the genetic properties and molecular behaviors of materials used in manufacturing.
Quality Control & Assurance:
Conduct molecular diagnostic testing to ensure product quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
Troubleshoot issues related to product defects or failures using molecular biology methods.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate and thorough laboratory records, including experiment logs, methodologies, and results.
Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
Collaboration & Innovation:
Work with manufacturing teams to scale up laboratory-based findings to full-scale production.
Stay updated on the latest developments in molecular biology techniques and their application to manufacturing.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all experiments and processes follow established regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, GMP, ISO) for safety and quality.
Assist in the preparation of regulatory submissions and inspections.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
A Ph.D. or Master's degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of [X] years of experience in a molecular biology or biotechnology role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Familiarity with laboratory equipment and instruments used in molecular biology.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in molecular biology techniques such as PCR, qPCR, DNA/RNA sequencing, cloning, and genetic analysis.
Strong understanding of bioinformatics tools and software for sequence analysis.
Knowledge:
In-depth knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO) related to biotechnology or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Ability to work with cross-disciplinary teams in an industrial environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in an industrial or GMP environment is highly preferred.
Familiarity with bioprocessing and scale-up methods.
Experience with data analysis software (e.g., GraphPad, GenBank, BLAST).
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
