to oversee daily operations in our modular furniture manufacturing unit based in
Kalpetta, Wayanad
. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to handle complete production management.
Key Responsibilities1. Production Management
Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
Supervise CNC, panel saw, edge-banding, drilling, assembly, and finishing departments.
Ensure timely production and high-quality output.
2. Team Leadership
Lead operators, carpenters, helpers, and supervisors.
Conduct regular training on machinery and safety.
Handle shift planning, attendance, and performance assessments.
3. Material & Inventory Control
Monitor stock of boards, laminates, hardware, adhesives, etc.
Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability.
Reduce material wastage through proper planning.
4. Quality & Compliance
Implement QC procedures at every stage.
Maintain high standards of accuracy and finishing.
Ensure compliance with factory safety and labour guidelines.
5. Machine & Equipment Maintenance
Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of CNC routers, edge-banders, panel saws, and other machinery.
Coordinate with service providers for repair and calibration.
6. Dispatch & Logistics
Supervise packing, labeling, and dispatch of finished items.
Coordinate with project/installation teams for timely delivery.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum 5-10 years in modular furniture manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of machines and production processes.
Ability to make cutting list, read technical drawings and BOQs.
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience managing production teams of 20-50 workers.
Qualifications
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Production, or Wood Technology (preferred).
Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar tools is an added advantage.
