Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and customer-oriented

Design Consultant

to join our team in the

modular furniture industry

. The ideal candidate will help customers visualize and customize modular furniture solutions that align with their needs, space, and aesthetic preferences. You will collaborate with internal teams and use design tools to deliver personalized solutions that enhance the customer experience and drive sales.

Key ResponsibilitiesClient Consultation & Engagement

Understand customer lifestyle, space constraints, and functional needs. Conduct in-person or virtual design consultations. Present tailored modular furniture solutions and mood boards.

Design & Customization

Create modular furniture layouts using design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, or proprietary tools). Provide accurate design proposals, quotations, and material specifications. Adapt designs based on client feedback and feasibility constraints.

Project Coordination

Work with production and installation teams to ensure design integrity through execution. Coordinate with sales and logistics teams for timely project delivery. Ensure documentation and customer approvals are complete.

Sales Enablement

Support the sales process with product knowledge and technical design insight. Upsell and cross-sell relevant modules, finishes, and accessories. Meet monthly/quarterly sales and customer satisfaction targets.

Product Knowledge & Development

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company product offerings and industry trends. Participate in design reviews and provide customer feedback to R&D teams.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, or a related field. 2-5 years of experience in furniture design, modular systems, or interior design. Proficiency in 2D/3D design software and MS Office Suite. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Customer-first mindset with attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with modular furniture brands or interior fit-out companies. Knowledge of materials, ergonomics, and modular joinery systems. Familiarity with CRM systems and sales processes.

Pay: ?14,433.87 - ?40,000.00 per month
