Key Responsibilities
Channel Management & Development
Develop and execute strategic plans for modern trade channels
(hypermarkets, supermarkets, department stores)
Build and maintain strong relationships with key modern trade partners
and buying teams
Identify new modern trade opportunities and expand distribution
footprint
Negotiate trade terms, promotional activities, and shelf space
agreements
Monitor competitor activities and market trends within modern trade
channels
Sales Performance & Revenue Growth
Achieve sales targets and KPIs for assigned modern trade accounts
Develop account-specific business plans and growth strategies
Implement effective merchandising and promotional campaigns
Analyze sales data and provide actionable insights for performance
improvement
Conduct regular business reviews with trade partners
Trade Marketing & Merchandising
Plan and execute in-store promotions, displays, and merchandising
activities
Coordinate with marketing teams on trade-specific campaigns and
product launches
Ensure optimal product placement, visibility, and shelf share
Monitor and maintain planogram compliance across stores
Manage trade marketing budgets and ROI optimization
Relationship Management
Serve as primary point of contact for assigned modern trade accounts
Conduct regular store visits and relationship-building activities
Resolve any trade-related issues or conflicts promptly
Collaborate with internal teams (supply chain, finance, marketing) for
seamless execution
Provide training and support to retail staff when required
Market Intelligence & Reporting
Monitor market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitive landscape
Provide regular reports on sales performance, market share, and channel
insights
Conduct store audits and compliance checks
Analyze pricing strategies and recommend optimizations
Prepare and present business reviews to senior management
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
5- 8 years of experience in modern trade/organized retail
Proven track record in FMCG, consumer goods, or retail industry
Experience with major retail chains and hypermarket operations
Core Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of modern trade dynamics and retail operations
Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills
Proficiency in trade marketing and merchandising principles
Advanced analytical skills with ability to interpret sales data
Strong presentation and communication abilities
Project management and multi-tasking capabilities
Technical Skills
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Experience with CRM and sales tracking systems
Knowledge of retail analytics tools and POS data analysis
Familiarity with trade promotion management systems

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
