BorgWarner Technical Center India Private Limited, a subsidiary of BorgWarner Inc. is looking for experienced and enthusiastic professionals in the areas of reduced order modelling of eMotor and Inverter Subsystems. The MBSE EMotor and Power Electronic Systems modeler is responsible for developing & maintaining Simulation Models for xEV propulsion systems for each of the domains. This includes eMotor and Power Electronics plant model development, integration to control models, integration of pre- and post-processing scripts, model & data configuration management, processing & analysis of test data for use in simulation and model application to customer projects. Responsibilities Derive eMotor and Power Electronics specifications from Customer performance and functional requirements. Develop Methods and models for Reduced Order representation for eMotor and PowerElectronics systemsfrom CAE and FEA level models. Support Efficiency, Performance and NVH evaluation of Drive Unit for xEVs, from eMotor and Power Electronics perspective. Analyse and evaluate eMotor and Power Electronic System performance for xEV drive units Assemble library of representative subsystem models and reference architectures Maintain Configuration Management process for simulation models, system, sub-system & component model parameters, and input & output data sets. Identification and Adoption of relevant Methods, Tools & Technology and champion continuous improvement initiatives Mentor/Train new hires. Apply models to customer projects and summarize results. Process and analyze data sets from bench/lab/vehicle testing for model validation as needed. Present results internally and to customers. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. 7+ years of experience in Power Electronics and eMotor Modeliing and simulation. 4+ years of experience with hybrid / electric propulsion systems. Expert level experience in Simulink, Stateflow and state-space models. Expert level experience with MATLAB, MS Excel, TDMS and DAT file conversion. Experience with MATLAB plotting tools. Experience with CFD and FEA codes, Electrical Analysis, Electrical Component design optimization, model simplification . Experience in configuration management tools. Knowledge of efficient data file archive / retrieval / storage tools and processes. PreferredExperience Master's Degree in Engineering or Science. Automotive vehicle-level experience. Skilled in 1D Electrical & Electro-mechanical dyanmics. Skilled in Time domain, Frequency response and Modal Analysis. Experience with other simulation / modeling / analysis software (SimScape, GT Suite, Amesim, Ansys, Motor-CAD, Mathcad, MASTA, MESYS, SPICE, Altair suite).
