  • 2+ years of professional non-internship experience with front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS

  • Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
  • 2+ years of profession experience in a technology company focused on inventing and solving problems for customers.
  • Expert knowledge of distributed web technologies (AWS/Google Cloud/Azure or other)
  • Expert knowledge of at least one modern programming language such as Java, C, or C++
  • Expert knowledge of data structures and algorithms
  • Working knowledge of design patterns, object oriented design, and operating system fundamentals
  • Familiarity with audio video streaming technologies and protocols

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to lead architecture and development for Prime Video X-Ray experiences in the Prime Video App, native iOS. This role is one of full ownership for features – from design to development & deployment. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to the future of X-Ray experience on Movies and TV Shows. You will be part of a strong team in a fast-paced, start-up like environment where agile development is embraced and innovation & thinking big is encouraged.

  • 2-5 years of profession experience in a technology company focused on inventing and solving problems for customers.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Expertise in iOS development in Swift or Objective-C
  • Expert working knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object oriented design
  • Expert working knowledge of design patterns
  • Strong working knowledge of operating system fundamentals
  • Working knowledge of REST service patterns and other client/server interaction models
  • Working knowledge of common Internet technologies (e.g. HTTP, HTML, JavaScript, AJAX)
  • Relentless customer focus
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience with the tools of the trade, including a variety of modern programming languages (Java, Swift, C/C++, Objective-C, JavaScript) and open-source technologies (Linux, React, JQuery, etc)
