Role Overview:

We are seeking a

highly experienced and visionary Head of Mobile Development

to lead and scale our mobile engineering function. You will be responsible for defining the mobile strategy, driving technical execution, and delivering exceptional cross-platform mobile experiences. This role requires strong leadership, deep technical expertise, and a product-first mindset -- along with

hands-on coding experience and a proven track record in client delivery and stakeholder management

.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end

mobile application development

across iOS and Android platforms. Define the

technical architecture

, establish best coding practices, and own the mobile technology roadmap. Hire, lead, mentor, and grow a

high-performing team

of mobile engineers. Collaborate with

Product, Design, QA, and Backend

teams for seamless integration and delivery.

Directly manage client relationships

for mobile project delivery -- including

end-to-end client engagement

,

client delivery ownership

, and

handling client escalations

. Be accountable for

on-time and high-quality delivery

of mobile features and releases. Ensure code quality, security, and performance through

best engineering practices

. Continuously

evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools

. Lead

Agile ceremonies

, sprint planning, delivery tracking, and resource management. Build and manage relationships with

third-party vendors

or partners as required. Provide

technical leadership and guidance

, while being able to deep-dive into code when necessary.

Mandatory Skills and Experience:

8-9 years of experience in

mobile development

, with a

minimum of 4 years in a leadership role

. Must have worked as a

hands-on developer

earlier in career and be able to

code and review

. Strong experience with:

Native languages:

Swift, Kotlin, Java, Dart

Cross-platform tools:

Flutter, React Native Proven experience in

client delivery

client communications

escalation management

. Ability to

handle clients end-to-end

-- from requirement gathering to final delivery and post-deployment support. Solid grasp of

mobile UI/UX

, performance optimization, and app store publishing processes. Familiarity with

CI/CD

, mobile automation, crash analytics, and monitoring tools. Strong architectural, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Experience with

REST APIs

, backend services, and cloud platforms (e.g., Firebase, AWS, Azure). Agile project execution with tools like

JIRA, Confluence, Git

, etc. Excellent verbal and written communication with proven

stakeholder management skills

. Strong delivery ownership with the ability to

manage complex projects across teams
