We're building a companion mobile app for a hardware device. The app will connect to the device via Bluetooth, and send short text updates to the device. You'll lead the mobile build and help shape a clean, reliable user experience.
What you'll do
Build a simple, polished app that
connects to a device over Bluetooth
and stays stable.
Show
text
in the app and send the same text to the glasses.
Create basic controls (connect/disconnect, brightness/time, status).
Add helpful diagnostics and handle common edge cases (loss of connection, retries).
Collaborate on later features (translation, notifications, media, navigation).
What you'll bring
3+ years in mobile development (Android and/or iOS). Flutter experience is a plus.
You've
shipped at least one app that talks to external hardware
(wearables, IoT, medical, etc.) over Bluetooth.
Comfortable owning the full feature: UI, device connection, error handling, testing on real hardware.
Clear communication, product sense, and attention to detail.
Nice to have
Experience with speech-to-text or simple text processing APIs.
Past work on wearable/companion apps or connected devices.
Familiarity with building lightweight, battery-friendly apps.
Why join
Meaningful product in assistive/real-time communication.
Fast decisions, friendly team, flexible hours.
Device provided; we'll share the device protocol after NDA.
