Key Responsibilities and Skills:
JOB Description:

• Leading a team of I&C Engineers and
  Designers (a team of 12-15) on various project and capable of taking ownership
  of I&C related deliverables.
• Review of drawings and documents of I&C
  deliverables.
• Be responsible for the proper and timely
  execution of projects, ensuring the Discipline quality management system
  and meeting all project specific requirements.
• Technical guidelines to team members on
  multiple project as and when required.
• Resource planning- Prioritize and allocate
  workload and delegate responsibility based on expertise and resource
  availability.
• Conduct mid-year review and performance
  appraisals.
• Coaching, mentoring and personal development.
• Estimate future staffing requirements in
  coordination with the Head of Delivery based on job load.
• Preparation of technical proposal and man-hour
  estimation for Instrument and control part of various proposals
• Provide support for activities such as
  discipline training, development of resources and maintain I&C
  specific BU compliance system.
• Ability to interact with other design discipline
  to address interface points in design.
• Excellent oral and written communication
  skills required for project execution.
• Should be able to work under stress and act
  pro-actively to meet the project schedule.

• Basic Process knowledge of Iron Making and
  Steel making processes including Blast Furnace, Sinter Plant, Steel Melt
  Shop, Rolling Mills, Coke Oven, Hot Strip Mill, Cold Rolling Mill etc.
  
• Associated large equipment/plants related to
  Steel industry such as Bag Filter, ESP, Gas Cleaning Plant, FAFA, Water
  Treatment Plants, Oxygen, COG, Steam lines, Gas analyzers including SOX,
  NOX, CO, CO2, O2, H2, Dust & AAQMS.
• Instrumentation and Control related to Coke
  Oven Plant & Byproduct plant.
• Instrumentation and Control related to Mine
  beneficiation, Conveyors and Bulk Material Handling.
• Level-I & Level-II Automation System.
  Working experience of the following automation/Control systems: Siemens
  PLC:S7 300, S7 400; Honeywell PLC : ML300; Rockwell PLC :Control Logix
  Series, Compact Logix Series, SLC 500,PLC 5; ABB PLC:AC 550, 800 Series;
  DCS:ABB 800xA; Siemens PCS 7, Honeywell C300 and SCADA: WinCC, TIA Portal,
  iFlix, Experion, Digivis, RSView).
• Knowledge of different kind of communication
  protocols like MODBUS, TCP/IP, PROFIBUS, Foundation Fieldbus, MODBUS RTU
  etc.
• Associated large equipment/plants related to
  Steel industry such as Bag Filter, ESP, Gas Cleaning Plant, FAFA, Water
  Treatment Plants, Oxygen, COG, Steam lines, Gas analyzers including SOX, NOX,
  CO, CO2, O2, H2, Dust & AAQMS.
• Instrumentation and Control related to Coke
  Oven Plant & Byproduct plant.
• Instrumentation and Control related to Mine
  beneficiation, Conveyors and Bulk Material Handling.
• Knowledge of 3D Modeling software like PDMS, Inventor,
  Revit.
• Knowledge of IEC, ISO, EN, ISA Codes &
  Standards related to Field Instruments & Automation system.
• Design Engineering activities including Basic
  & Detail Engineering practices in Steel, metals (Aluminum, Zinc,
  Copper etc) & mines industries for Instrumentation & Control.
• Pre-bid effort estimation & technical
  proposal.
• Interface Engineering & providing
  necessary engineering inputs to Electrical, Process, Mechanical, Piping
  etc.
• Shall be aware of the international codes
  & standards such as ISA, DIN, API, NFPA etc.
• Vendor Offer Evaluation
  
• Vendor drawing review.
• Contribution as a leader in Engineering review
  meetings and project progress review meetings.
• Shall be familiar with design of CCTV, FDA, PA
  & Wireless Communication systems for various Industrial Applications.
• Knowledge on performance of project risk
  assessment

• Vast work experience in Instrumentation and
  Automation Engineering and Design for an Integrated steel plant, Bulk
  material handling plant and Mining beneficiation plant.
• Experience in handling projects like
  developing Front End Engineering & Design (FEED) Packages, executing
  Detailed Engineering services on EPCM basis and PMC services
• Rich knowledge and experience in
  specifications, selection, design and engineering of DCS/ESD/PLC/SCADA
  system including FF technology.
• Good Knowledge on HAZOP/SIL Study including
  SIL calculation
• Sizing of Various instrument items like flow
  element, control valve, safety relief valve, wake frequency of thermo-well
  etc.
• Detailed engineering to develop various
  instrumentation documents like Logic Diagram, Control Narrative,
  Instrumented Protection Function Narratives, wiring connection details and
  loop diagrams
• Experience in IIoT based point solutions and
  its integration with smart sensors
• Experience in AI based control algorithm, AI
  modelling and its implementation of process control and automation
  application.

• BE/B. Tech/ M.
  Tech in instrumentation or control engineering at least 17-20 years of
  experience in similar Engineering Field for any reputed EPC Company or
  Engineering Consulting Company.
