The Mixologist is responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, delivering exceptional guest service, and contributing to the restaurant's overall beverage program. This role involves creating signature cocktails, maintaining bar standards, and ensuring a memorable experience for guests through creativity, consistency, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve signature cocktails, classic drinks, and custom beverages with precision.
Develop and test new cocktail recipes for seasonal or featured menus.
Set up and maintain bar mise en place, including fresh ingredients, garnishes, and prep items.
Ensure the bar area is clean, sanitized, organized, and fully stocked.
Deliver excellent guest service with a focus on engagement and satisfaction.
Follow all safety, hygiene, and responsible alcohol-service guidelines.
Manage inventory, restocking, and reporting shortages or equipment needs.
Work with management to improve bar operations and enhance the beverage program.
Educate guests and team members on drink profiles, pairings, and bar techniques.
Requirements
Prior experience as a mixologist or bartender in a restaurant or bar setting.
Strong knowledge of spirits, cocktail techniques, flavor balance, and bar equipment.
Creative approach to drink development and presentation.
Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of responsible alcohol service regulations.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
Preferred:
Certification such as TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol, or similar.
