Job Purpose:

To develop, maintain, and deliver accurate MIS reports, dashboards, and data analysis using Power BI and Advanced Excel. The role supports management decision-making by ensuring visibility of key operational and financial metrics across shipping and logistics functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports in

Power BI

for real-time visibility of shipping and logistics operations. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports using

Advanced Excel

(pivot tables, macros, VLOOKUP, Power Query, etc.). Consolidate and analyze large sets of data related to freight, vessel schedules, shipments, warehouse inventory, and logistics performance. Provide insights on KPIs such as turnaround time, transit delays, freight cost optimization, container utilization, and customer service levels. Automate repetitive reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with operations, finance, and sales teams to gather reporting requirements. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems. Monitor exceptions, identify performance gaps, and suggest data-driven improvements. Support management with ad-hoc analysis, scenario modeling, and decision support tools. Maintain documentation of reporting processes and ensure compliance with company standards.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong expertise in

Power BI

(DAX functions, Power Query, dashboard creation, data modeling). Advanced proficiency in

MS Excel

(macros, pivot tables, Power Pivot, VBA preferred). Strong analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Good knowledge of data visualization best practices. Experience in handling large datasets from ERP/TMS/WMS systems (SAP, Oracle, Navision, CargoWise, etc. preferred). Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines. Strong communication and presentation skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business, Logistics, Statistics, IT, or related field. 2-5 years of experience in MIS Reporting / Data Analysis, preferably in the

shipping & logistics industry

. Prior exposure to freight forwarding, shipping lines, or logistics operations will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
