The MIS Manager cum Data Analytics professional is responsible for managing Management Information Systems (MIS), ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and performing data analysis to support strategic decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
MIS Management
Develop, maintain, and manage MIS reports for management review
Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual dashboards and reports
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timely availability
Coordinate with departments to collect, validate, and consolidate data
Automate MIS reports to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
Data Analytics
Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights
Provide actionable insights to support business decisions
Design and maintain analytical dashboards using tools like Excel, Power BI, or Tableau
Conduct variance analysis, forecasting, and performance analysis
Support management with ad-hoc data analysis and presentations
Data Governance & Controls
Ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with company policies
Maintain proper documentation of reports and data sources
Improve data processes and reporting frameworks continuously
Coordination & Support
Work closely with Finance, HR, Sales, Operations, and IT teams
Support audits, reviews, and management meetings with accurate data
Train users on MIS tools and dashboards, if required
Key Skills & Competencies
Advanced MS Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, Macros preferred)
Strong knowledge of MIS reporting and dashboard creation
Data analytics tools: Power BI / Tableau / SQL (preferred)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and data accuracy
Good communication and presentation skills
Qualification & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Commerce /CA inter/Data analyst
5-10 years of experience in MIS, reporting, or data analytics (can be customized)
Experience in corporate, manufacturing, infrastructure, or service industry preferred
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Accuracy and timeliness of MIS reports
Quality of insights provided to management
Reduction in manual reporting effort
Stakeholder satisfaction
