An MIS Executive in a retail store manages, analyzes, and reports on inventory, sales, and operational data to drive business decisions. Key responsibilities include generating daily/monthly sales reports, managing inventory accuracy, tracking key metrics, and utilizing Advanced Excel/ERP systems to optimize stock levels, monitor vendor performance, and support store operations.
Key Responsibilities
Data Management: Collect, analyze, and interpret sales, inventory, and operational data from store systems.
Reporting: Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on sales, profits, and inventory turnover.
Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, track movements (stock in/out), and manage stock returns or transfers.
System Administration: Maintain and troubleshoot ERP systems, POS data, and databases.
Automation: Develop macros and automate reporting tasks to enhance efficiency.
Collaboration: Work with warehouse and store management regarding new arrivals and inventory issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Technical Skills: Advanced MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros) and proficiency in ERP software/POS systems.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Commerce, or related fields.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in sales analytics or MIS, preferably in retail.
Analytical Abilities: Strong data interpretation skills with high attention to detail.
Communication: Ability to present data-driven insights to management.
