MIS Executive (Management Information System Executive)
in the automobile industry is responsible for managing data, generating analytical reports, supporting dealership operations, and ensuring smooth flow of information across sales, service, spare parts, and finance departments. The role focuses on improving operational efficiency through accurate and timely data management.
Key Responsibilities1. Data Management & Reporting
Collect, compile, and analyze data from various departments (Sales, Service, Spare Parts, CRM).
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.
Track key business metrics such as:
Vehicle sales performance
Workshop productivity & efficiency
Parts inventory and consumption
Enquiry and lead conversion
Customer satisfaction scores (CSI/SSI)
Maintain dashboards and update KPIs for management review.
2. System Administration
Work with DMS (Dealer Management Systems) such as
AutoDMS, Tally, SAP, Oracle, or brand-specific systems
.
Ensure data accuracy, system updates, and user access management.
Support teams in resolving DMS-related issues and coordinate with OEM IT teams when required.
3. Business Analysis
Analyze trends and identify areas for operational improvement.
Provide insights to management for business planning and decision-making.
Assist in forecasting sales, parts requirements, and workshop load.
4. Operational Support
Coordinate with Sales, Service, Finance, CRM, and Inventory teams for data collection.
Ensure compliance with OEM reporting requirements.
Support audits by providing accurate data and documentation.
5. Documentation & Process Compliance
Maintain proper documentation of reports, processes, and data.
Ensure adherence to company policies and OEM guidelines.
Implement best practices for data handling and process automation.
Skills & QualificationsEducational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
MIS or Data Analytics certification (preferred).
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, Macros preferred).
Experience with MIS tools, ERP/DMS systems.
Basic understanding of SQL or Power BI is an advantage.
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
