Job Summary
Utthan is seeking a detail-oriented and committed
MIS (Data Entry Operator)
to support the Livelihood Empowerment Program for Denotified, Nomadic, and Semi-Nomadic Tribes (DNTs) in four districts of Gujarat: Bhavnagar, Amreli, Junagadh, and Rajkot. The data entry operator will be responsible for collecting, validating, entering, and managing program-related data received from Community Contact Persons (CCPs) and District CCPs (DCCPs), ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Data Collection and Validation
Collect data related to SHG formation, entitlements, trainings, and beneficiaries from all 4 districts.
Coordinate with CCPs and DCCPs to ensure timely and complete data submission.
Verify and validate the accuracy and consistency of received data.
Data Entry and Management
Enter validated data into Utthan's MIS and other reporting formats.
Ensure backups and secure storage of all data files.
Support in maintaining digital records and reports as required by donors and internal teams.
Reporting and Documentation
Assist in generating weekly, monthly, and quarterly data reports.
Provide data inputs for monitoring and evaluation (M&E) purposes.
Maintain organized records for audit and review.
Coordination and Support
Work closely with the Program Coordinator and field team to understand data needs.
Provide MIS-related support during reviews, visits, and training programs.
Highlight data gaps or inconsistencies to the concerned team members promptly.
Skills and Competencies Required
Strong knowledge of MS Excel, Google Sheets, and basic database tools.
Good understanding of data validation and error-checking practices.
Familiarity with MIS tools, data collection formats, and reporting structures.
Ability to communicate in Gujarati (essential) and basic English (preferred).
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle sensitive data confidentially.
Qualifications and Experience
Graduate in any discipline, preferably with a background in IT, Statistics, or Social Sciences.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in data entry or MIS roles, preferably in development projects.
Prior experience in working with SHG/livelihood programs or rural community-based data is desirable.
Key Deliverables
Timely and accurate entry and submission of project data from all 4 districts.
Clean, validated data sets ready for analysis and reporting.
Regular coordination with CCPs and DCCPs to ensure data integrity.
