The
MIS cum Cashier
is responsible for managing day-to-day cash transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and preparing regular management information reports (MIS). The role requires strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and prior experience handling cash and reporting in a fast-paced business environment -- preferably in the
Gulf region
.
Key Responsibilities:1. Cash Handling & Banking
Handle daily cash, cheque, and credit/debit card transactions.
Maintain petty cash and ensure proper documentation for all receipts and payments.
Prepare daily cash collection reports and reconcile with sales data.
Deposit daily cash collections into the bank and maintain deposit records.
Ensure security of cash and adherence to company cash handling policies.
2. MIS (Management Information System) Reporting
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports on sales, expenses, and financial performance.
Analyze revenue trends, expenses, and profit margins for management review.
Support management with accurate data for decision-making.
Generate reports from ERP or accounting systems (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle, or other company software).
3. Accounts Support
Assist in invoice preparation, bill entry, and updating ledgers.
Support month-end closing activities and reconciliation of accounts.
Maintain proper filing of receipts, vouchers, and supporting documents.
Coordinate with the head office accounts department for reporting and audit requirements.
4. Customer & Vendor Coordination
Handle customer payments and issue receipts.
Manage refunds, advance payments, and credit notes as per company policy.
Liaise with vendors for payment updates and reconciliation.
5. Compliance & Documentation
Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policy and local regulations.
Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of financial data.
Prepare necessary documentation for audits and management reviews.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in
Commerce / Accounting / Finance
.
3-7 years of experience
as MIS Executive, Cashier, or Accounts Assistant.
Gulf experience mandatory
(UAE, Qatar, Oman, KSA, Bahrain, etc.).
Proficient in MS Excel and accounting/ERP software (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or equivalent).
Good knowledge of local currency handling and banking procedures.
Strong communication skills in English (Arabic knowledge is an advantage).
