A MIS Sales Coordinator is a dual-role professional responsible for managing and analyzing sales data (Management Information Systems, or MIS) while also providing administrative and operational support to the sales team. This position is crucial for ensuring efficient sales processes and providing management with the data-driven insights needed for strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
The primary duties of an MIS Sales Coordinator generally fall into two main categories:
MIS and Data Management:
?Report Generation: Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports, performance summaries, and dashboards for management review.
?Data Analysis: Gathering, cleaning, and analyzing sales data from various sources (e.g., CRM, ERP systems) to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
?Performance Tracking: Monitoring sales performance, targets versus achievements, pending orders, and collections, and providing insights to the sales head.
?Database Maintenance: Maintaining and updating customer databases, sales records, and other operational data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
?Process Automation: Automating repetitive reporting tasks using tools like MS Excel (advanced functions like VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), Power BI, or other relevant software.
Sales Coordination and Administration:
?Sales Team Support: Acting as the point of reference for the field sales team, managing schedules, and communicating relevant information.
?Order Processing: Handling the processing of all orders, from quotations and invoices to coordinating with logistics and tracking deliveries.
?Client Communication: Interacting with customers to address inquiries, provide product information, and resolve basic service issues, giving after-sales support when requested.
?Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborating with other departments (e.g., finance, marketing, logistics, accounts) to ensure smooth operations and process efficiency.
?Documentation and Record Keeping: Ensuring accurate record-keeping through proper documentation, filing, and managing sales-related paperwork.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
?Education: A bachelor's degree
?Technical Skills:
oProficiency in MS Office, especially advanced MS Excel.
?Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, attention to detail, and strong organizational and multitasking abilities are crucial for this role.
