Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated

Mining Engineer (Production)

to oversee and optimize production operations at our mining site in Angul, Odisha. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective production in compliance with statutory regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, supervise, and monitor daily production activities to achieve targeted output levels. Prepare short-term and long-term production plans in coordination with geology, maintenance, and safety teams. Optimize deployment of manpower, equipment, and materials for maximum efficiency. Ensure adherence to

DGMS

and

MoEF

safety and environmental regulations. Conduct regular inspections of mine faces, haul roads, and benches to maintain operational safety and efficiency. Coordinate with maintenance teams for timely servicing and availability of HEMM (Heavy Earth Moving Machinery). Monitor and control drilling, blasting, loading, and hauling operations. Maintain production reports, shift logs, and statutory documentation. Implement cost control measures and suggest improvements in mining methods and equipment utilization. Support and participate in audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.

Qualifications & Experience:

B.E./B.Tech in Mining Engineering

from a recognized institution.

Valid First Class / Second Class Mines Manager Certificate (Coal/Metal as applicable)

issued by DGMS. Minimum 1

-8 years

of experience in production operations in an open-cast or underground mine. Sound knowledge of mine planning software (e.g., Surpac, Minex, Datamine) and MS Office. Strong understanding of safety and environmental management systems.

Pay: ₹16,634.94 - ₹56,598.46 per month
