About the role
Role: Mining Engineer
In this role, Technical Skills
Minimum 5 to 8 years\' experience in broad range of open cut Mine Engineering preferably open cut coal. Practical experience with mine design,
, scheduling, drill and blast, understanding geology, and other related mining support services.
innovative approach to problem solving and ability to define critical value drivers (cost and revenue) in an operation.
Ability to communicate effectively with Technical Personnel Practical experience in risk management in Mine Design
Previous experience working with cultures outside of home country.
Skills & Knowledge-
Strong English communication skills, both written and oral.
effective customer facing skills and proven ability to build and maintain.
relationships, both internally and externally.
Knowledge of the mine planning software currently implemented within Thiess.
Knowledge of design and scheduling best practice tools and methodologies.
Cost awareness
About you

• Tertiary qualified in a relevant technical discipline (eg Mining, Civil or Mechanical Engineering)
