Overview of the role Mindshare is looking for an enthusiastic, and self-motivated media buying professional to take charge as Senior Director - Media Buying. An ideal person for this role should have 8+ years of experience in Media Buying/Planning/Sales. In this role, you will be responsible for a range of work on prestigious brands including deal evaluations, dealing with the channels, integration, interacting with the client/s on key questions. Measures of success - In three months, you would have: Complete knowledge of your clients\' benchmarks Begun to develop deep client relationships with the key day-to-day contacts. Completely hands on with the deal structuring, how to approach negotiations, standard SOPs for the clients etc. Start doing deals on some of the channels. Present \'points of view\' to senior client leadership In six months, you would have: Set the overall vision of the buying function - with clear annual strategies agreed, implemented, and tracked on a regular basis. Set goals for self and the team keeping the account realities and individual development needs. Customised training requirements for team Build in an array of best practices on the account. Collaborate and contribute towards the goals of the unit. Understand the Mindshare ecosystem and structure. In 12 months, you would have: Set the standard for all processes that pertain to implementation and investment within the team. Inspired and motivated the team to deliver high performance output by providing regular and constructive feedback. Maintained a positive, motivating, and inspiring team culture. Responsibilities of the role: Maintain understanding of the macro trends in the marketplace with regards to revenue, supply, innovation, and development Constantly share your knowledge with others and maintain open communication channels throughout the agency. Construct negotiation strategies to deliver on clients objectives. Identifying opportunities to value ad on the existing deal Demonstrate selling skills with the ability to sell in deals, media plans/initiatives to clients. Demonstrate leadership skills at all times What you will need: Minimum 8 years in media buying and strategy Willingness to learn and drive to succeed. Solid understanding of all media channels and with knowledge of strengths and weaknesses of each channel First class negotiation skills - delivery of a balanced approach to the marketplace Client Management experience Excellent presentation skills Strong communication skills Willingness to be hands on and a team player.
