Job Description

Job Summary:

The Flour Mill Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining milling equipment to ensure efficient and continuous production of high-quality flour. The operator ensures that the milling process adheres to safety, quality, and production standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor all flour mill machinery (cleaning, grinding, sifting, blending, and packing units). Adjust machine settings to maintain desired product quality and efficiency. Inspect raw materials (wheat, maize, etc.) for quality before milling. Ensure smooth flow of material through different milling stages. Record production data, machine performance, and downtime reports. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the milling area following safety and food-grade standards. Perform basic maintenance and report mechanical issues to maintenance team. Ensure compliance with safety procedures, PPE use, and company policies. Coordinate with quality control to ensure output meets required specifications. Assist in loading/unloading raw materials and finished products when required.
