Job Title: MIG/CO2 Welder

Department: Production / Fabrication

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. The candidate should have strong technical knowledge of welding processes, especially Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), and be able to read and interpret engineering drawings to produce high-quality welded components.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform MIG welding (GMAW) on mild steel, stainless steel, and other metals as required.

Set up welding machines, select proper parameters (voltage, current, wire feed rate, shielding gas).

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.

Conduct material preparation such as grinding, cutting, and fit-up before welding.

Inspect and measure welded components using gauges, callipers, and other precision tools to ensure dimensional accuracy.

Perform quality checks for weld defects such as porosity, cracks, and distortion.

Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work area in good working condition.

Follow safety standards, PPE guidelines, and company welding procedures (WPS).

Support continuous improvement and production targets with teamwork and discipline.

Skills & Qualifications:

ITI / Technical Certification Or Experience in Welding or related field.

Minimum 1-3 years of MIG welding experience in a fabrication or manufacturing unit.

Strong knowledge of welding techniques, joint design, material types, and weld positions (1G-6G).

Ability to operate fabrication tools like grinders, cutters, and measuring instruments.

Familiar with weld inspection and repair techniques.

Work Environment:

Industrial fabrication shop with exposure to heat, sparks, fumes, and noise.

Must strictly follow all safety and housekeeping norms.
