DescriptionJoin GlobalLogic, to be a valid part of the team working on a huge software project for the world-class company providing M2M / IoT 4G/5G modules e.g. to the automotive, healthcare and logistics industries. Through our engagement, we contribute to our customer in developing the end-user modules firmware, implementing new features, maintaining compatibility with the newest telecommunication and industry standards, as well as performing analysis and estimations of the customer requirements.RequirementsData Consultant :As a Data Consultant for the Data and Analytics team, you will work within a Professional Services team to support our customers data platform on GW Cloud. You will also support the development of new tooling and methodology to streamline our data processes.One of our principles is to have fun while we deliver, so this role will need to keep the delivery process fun and engaging for the team in collaboration with the broader organization. Given the dynamic nature of the work in the Data and Analytics team, we are looking for decisive, highly-skilled technical problem solvers who can bring their array of experience working in previous data streaming related roles. You will cooperate closely with teams located around the world.Job responsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:

• Deliver data access projects for customers on time and effectively
• Work with the data team to improve processes and methodology
• Create new tooling to streamline data processing when called upon or when the opportunity presents itself
• Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with a sense of ownership and drive
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced Agile environment

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent level of demonstrable professional competency, and 5 years + in delivery type role
• Familiarity with functional programming concepts.
• Experience with the Scala programming language.
• Experience with Apache Spark for big data processing.
• Familiarity with data processing and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) concepts.
• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Experience working with different cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Experience developing and deploying production REST APIs.
• Experience working with customer teams to understand business objectives and functional requirements.
• Effective leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.

• Insurance industry experience
• Experience with the Guidewire Data Platform
