Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

MIG Welder/Fabricator

to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding metal parts and structures according to specifications, blueprints, or technical drawings. This role requires precision, a strong understanding of welding techniques, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing or fabrication environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform MIG welding on various metals (primarily steel, aluminum, or stainless steel) Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders Cut, fit, and assemble metal components using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment Inspect welds and fabricated parts for quality and adherence to specifications Maintain clean and organized work areas and follow all safety procedures Use grinders, saws, shears, and other fabrication tools and machinery as needed Set up welding machines based on the job at hand or using welding procedures Operate overhead cranes or forklifts (if certified) Follow production schedules and meet deadlines Perform maintenance on equipment as needed

Qualifications & Requirements:

Proven experience as a MIG welder/fabricator (typically 2+ years) Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Skilled in the use of welding equipment and fabrication tools Familiarity with measuring instruments (tape measure, calipers, square, etc.) Understanding of welding symbols and codes (AWS standards is a plus) Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity Strong attention to detail and quality Ability to lift heavy materials (up to [XX] lbs) High school diploma or equivalent; welding certification is preferred

Preferred Skills (Not Required):

TIG or Stick welding experience CNC plasma or laser cutting knowledge Experience with custom or structural steel fabrication Forklift or crane operation certification

Work Environment:

Exposure to loud noise, sparks, and welding fumes (PPE provided) Standing for extended periods and physical labor required Indoors (shop environment), sometimes outdoors depending on job
