Job Summary:

The MIG Welder is responsible for performing high-quality welding using

Metal Inert Gas (MIG)

techniques on various metals and components. The role involves interpreting drawings, preparing materials, and ensuring all welds meet project standards and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform MIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components as per specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols. Set up welding equipment and select proper parameters (wire feed, voltage, gas flow). Inspect materials and joints for accuracy, alignment, and weld quality before and after welding. Grind, clean, and prepare surfaces for welding. Conduct visual checks and repair weld defects when necessary. Maintain welding equipment and ensure tools are in safe working condition. Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE during all welding operations. Work collaboratively with supervisors, fabricators, and quality inspectors. Maintain daily production and quality records.

Qualifications and Requirements:

ITI / Diploma / Technical Certification in Welding or related field. Minimum 2-5 years of MIG welding experience (preferably in fabrication or industrial projects). Knowledge of welding standards (ASME / AWS / ISO). Ability to work from drawings and follow instructions precisely. Basic understanding of English (reading and speaking). Physically fit and able to work in various environments.
