Key Responsibilities:

Perform

MIG welding

operations on heavy sheet metal components as per drawings and quality standards. Operate

sheet metal forming machines

(press brake, rolling machine, shearing machine, punching machine, etc.). Read and interpret

engineering drawings, fabrication sketches, and welding symbols

. Carry out

cutting, bending, forming, grinding, and finishing

of sheet metal parts. Ensure fabrication and welding activities meet

safety, quality, and production

requirements. Inspect completed workpieces to maintain dimensional accuracy and surface quality. Perform

fixture setup

, machine adjustments, and basic maintenance of fabrication equipment. Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams for smooth workflow. Follow industry best practices for

welding safety, material handling, and machine operation

.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of

MIG welding

on heavy gauge sheet metal. Hands-on experience in

sheet metal forming

and fabrication processes. Ability to read

technical drawings

and use measuring tools (vernier, micrometer, gauges). Knowledge of different types of

metals and welding consumables

. Basic understanding of

quality parameters

in welding and fabrication. Ability to operate fabrication machinery safely and efficiently. ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Fabrication, Welding, or equivalent (preferred).
