We are seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for streamlining our software development processes and enhancing the efficiency of our infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud computing, system administration, and continuous integration practices. The DevOps Engineer will work closely with development and operations teams to ensure smooth deployments, maintain system reliability, and implement best practices in software development.

Duties

Collaborate with software developers and system operators to manage code releases. Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub. Utilize containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes for application deployment. Design and maintain cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure. Automate system administration tasks using configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef. Monitor application performance using tools like New Relic or Splunk and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Ensure disaster recovery plans are in place and regularly tested. Develop scripts for automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Manage databases including MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or DynamoDB to ensure data integrity and availability. Implement security measures related to identity & access management and firewall configurations.

Experience

Candidates should possess a strong background in the following areas:

Proficiency in cloud computing services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform). Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). Familiarity with web services (REST APIs) and microservices architecture. Knowledge of system administration on Linux/Unix environments (CentOS, Ubuntu) as well as Windows Server systems. Experience with version control systems such as Git (GitHub, GitLab) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins). Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, LAN/WAN configurations. Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Go, C#, Python, Ruby on Rails, or JavaScript is a plus. Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware) and distributed systems is advantageous. Strong problem-solving skills in software troubleshooting and debugging within the SDLC framework.
