About this Role

We are seeking a Middleware ETL Developer with strong expertise in Talend Studio to design, develop and maintain robust data integration workflows. This role demands hands-on experience in ETL development, data warehousing concepts, and Java-based optimisation. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in Agile and Waterfall environments, and possess a collaborative mindset to work across teams and stakeholders.

What you'll do

------------------


Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Talend Studio or Talend Open Studio. Monitor and troubleshoot production issues, ensuring timely resolution. Resolve interoperability challenges between applications and systems. Analyse, design, develop, and test message flows using integration technologies. Work with data streaming tools such as Apache Kafka or similar real-time processing platforms. Collaborate with architects and analysts to translate requirements into efficient solutions. Conduct data profiling and quality checks to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Optimise ETL performance and resolve process-related issues. Provide root cause analysis and adhere to change management procedures. Ensure compliance with internal regulations, Vodafone Code of Conduct, and the "Compliance in Vodafone" policy.

Who you are

Minimum 3 years of experience in enterprise-level integration projects. Proven expertise in Talend Studio (or Talend Open Studio) for ETL development. Strong command of SQL with experience across databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server. Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts including star/snowflake schema and dimensional modelling. Proficient in Java for custom routines and troubleshooting Talend-generated code. Experience with REST APIs and SOAP web services for data exchange. Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence. Effective communicator with strong time management and problem-solving skills.

Optional:

+ 5 years of experience in project delivery.
+ Knowledge of cloud technologies and DevOps tools and practices.
