Job Title: Middleware Administrator - JBoss & Tomcat Specialist

Location: Bangalore, India (with Onsite Travel Opportunities)

Experience: 7+ years



Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Middleware Administrator with strong expertise in JBoss and Apache Tomcat administration, including hands-on experience in migration from JBoss to Tomcat. The ideal candidate will also have deep knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Containers, and Kubernetes to support modern application deployment and scalability. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with global teams.



Key Responsibilities

Administer, configure, monitor, and optimize JBoss EAP/WildFly and Apache Tomcat application servers.

Lead and execute migration projects from JBoss to Tomcat, ensuring seamless transition with minimal downtime.

Design and implement middleware deployment strategies aligned with enterprise architecture.

Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for application builds, deployments, and upgrades.

Containerize middleware components using Docker and manage deployments using Kubernetes.

Troubleshoot middleware-related performance, configuration, and integration issues.

Ensure middleware platforms meet security, compliance, and high-availability standards.

Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Provide production support (L2/L3) for middleware environments.

Document best practices, standards, and procedures for middleware management.

Willingness to travel abroad for onsite assignments as required.



Required Skills & Experience

7+ years of professional experience in middleware administration.

Strong hands-on expertise with JBoss EAP/WildFly and Apache Tomcat.

Proven experience in migration from JBoss to Tomcat in enterprise environments.

Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix environments for middleware administration.

Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or equivalent).

Hands-on experience with Docker and container orchestration using Kubernetes.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent communication skills with ability to work in global teams.

Flexibility and readiness for onsite travel (short or long term).
